What are the departure and return times?
For the 3-Day, 3-Night trip:
Departs: Wednesdays at 12pm* & Saturdays at 12pm*
Returns: Saturdays at 12pm* & Tuesdays at 4pm*
For the 2-Day, 2-Night trip:
Departs: Mondays at 4pm*
Returns: Wednesdays at 4pm*
*Tide dependant
Where does Summer Jo depart from?
Port Of Airlie, Airlie Beach
What do I need to bring?
Overnight bag, swimmers, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, beach towel, toiletries, comfortable walking shoes, camera, drinks/money for drinks (water and soft drinks available onboard), you can also bring your own reusable water bottle, snacks, water and alcohol.
What's included?
All meals (see menu), snorkelling and scuba equipment, linen, bath towel, skipper and crew, Marine Park fees

For the 3-Day, 3-Night trip:
- $45pp per trip for dietary requirements
- $4 for water/soft drinks
- Torch per dive/trip - $25/$40

What's dive courses are offered?
There are two scuba diving courses offered on Summer Jo 3D3N; Open Water, Refresher and Advanced. The Refresher course costs $165 and is for those who are certified but haven't been diving in a while and would like to freshen up their skills. The Open Water course is $995 and the Advanced course is $699.
What is the minimum age that can travel on Summer Jo?
Summer Jo's 2D2N trip has a minimum age of 18 years. The 3D3N trip minimum age is 12.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
Yes, you are allowed to BYO alcohol on board. However, no glass bottles or red wine is permitted on board.
How many scuba dives can I do?
Guests can do a maximum of 10 dives on Summer Jo.
Can I dive at night?
Yes, Summer Jo offers night diving!
Is snorkelling and diving equipment included?
Yes, snorkelling and diving gear will be provided on board for you to use.
Do you cater for vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, etc diets?
Yes we do. If you have any allergies, special dietary needs or preferences, please let us know at the time of booking. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements at the time of booking, as there will be an additional fee of $30pp for the 2D2N trip and $45 for the 3D3N trip.
Do certified divers need to complete a scuba refresher course?
No, a scuba refresher course is not required if you are a certified diver (even if it's been a while since your last dive). But you are of course welcome to do one if it would make you feel more comfortable in the water!
How much are scuba dives?
Certified:
- 1st Dive: $115
- 2nd Dive: $105
- 3rd Dive: $95
- Additional dives after that: $80
Non-Certified:
- 1st Dive: $165 (includes 40 min Skill Session)
- Additional dives after that: $125
Is there air conditioning onboard?
Yes, there is air conditioning in all the cabins on board Summer Jo, making for a more comfortable trip, especially during the warmer months!
